Too bright for a good photo above the Arctic Circle

I spent my Sunday writing a cruise review about our trip on the Midnatsol. Cruisecritic.com posted it on Monday and now the Hurtigruten blog posted it. Hurtigruten included my photos that I submitted. It is very detailed but I wanted to give  folks enough information so they would know what to expect.

We were above the Arctic Circle between Berievåg located at N 07° 51,6 E 029° 49,4 and Båtsford, Norway when the photo was taken. There were lots of people still out and about after midnight to see the midnight sun. The photo quality isn’t so great because of the sun behind us.

This was the end of a busy day with the National Day celebrations in the morning, a stop at Honningsvåg where we watched the town parade complete with a band playing the Sousa march, Stars and Stripes Forever, and the North Cape Seafood buffet at dinner. We had fresh seafood from the area that night including king crab.
