Cruises and our Minnesota trip were canceled with the coronavirus turning our world upset down. We are the fortunate ones. Our full-service retirement community brings food, mail, and packages to our door. They started a small store so we can buy the basics such as bread, milk, eggs, butter, and a host of other items. They even deliver. We have been in our apartment since March 20 when the food delivery started except for three walks outside. Mask wearing outside the apartment is required.
There are no visitors allowed on the 110-acre campus except for employees. The management set up a post office to process the mail for 2,000 residents since the mail is left at the gatehouse. There are no COVID-19 cases in independent living which is remarkable.
We have plenty to do in our apartment including Zoom Bingo and Friday Happy Hour with the same friends we met every Friday. We are safe and well-cared for.

Hi,
Wow your community of 2000 sounds wonderful with amazing services and even a small store. Plus no Covid cases is remarkable. 11 years of blogging is remarkable. Thank you for all the info you have given me and I treasure your work and will pass it on to my Boyle family.
