Dan Boyle’s family are North Dakota pioneers emigrating from Canada in 1881 – 1882. The following stories recount Cornelius and Ellen Boyle’s nine children and their descendants. Dan genealogy efforts started in 1980 and continues to this day. Here are nine stories that he researched over the years. Dan is the last born and only living grandchild of Cornelius and Ellen.

Alice was home from 1937 – 1941 during his grade school years. Dan wrote the family entry for the Alice Centennial in 2000. describing his family and life there. We attended the Centennial festivities, enjoying seeing family and friends and driving tractors in the parade. Dan reminisces about his growing up in Alice with these stories.
Sheldon, ND
The Boyle family moved to Sheldon so Dan could attend high school.
