International Event

Scottish SocietyHarper Griswold asked me to help him setup the Scottish Society table for the 3rd Annual International Extravaganza. Several other nationalities were represented by residents displaying items from their countries of heritage or where they worked or did mission work. Ethic food samples were very popular with lines and the entertainment room was standing room only. France, Germany, Wales, Cameroon, Ghana, Central America, India were all represented.

I suggested that Harper sit beside the table rather than behind it so people could see his kilt. He is active in  the St. Andrew’s Society of Baltimore so he has the full outfit. I wore my MacKay plaid sash and MacKay badge with the coat of arms. It was a fun event. My mother was active in the Charlestown Scottish Society years ago.
