I am so glad to hear from you Ann and also from Dan as I am sure he is up to date on what you write. Wow, what a lovely travel, fun and taking care of health year you both had. So nice to see how active you both are,.
i was afraid I wouldn’t find you both online as I hadn’t written down you email address.
Once Dan had said that he found some information on my father, Eric Strathmere, in the San Francisco area but didn’t want to give me the info maybe he will tell it this to you if he remembers and you can send the info to me. It might have been another marriage or another family before he married my mom, Loucile Boyle, in 1937.
Hope you and Dan make many wonderful memories in 2025 and have a wonderful 2025 and many more fun full years.
Wow! You have been busy. Mostly good, some not so good. So happy you have recovered well from breast cancer. If only we olders wouldn’t have to worry about that anymore. Are you having aortic valve replacement Ann or is it Dan. Either way I hope all goes well. We too have been very busy, especially the last half of the year. You know Wayne has Alzheimer’s right? Well daughters decided I needed to get away for a bit so our granddaughter from Iowa came to stay with him while our daughters and I went to the gulf shores for a week. It was great. So much fun just talking and watching the waves and walking the beach. However we all got Covid and we experienced our first hurricane, Helene, although the outskirts of it. BTW that granddaughter got her Doctor of Nursing Practice in December. Straight A at that. So proud of her. Wayne and I went on a 14 day cruise from Athens, Greece up to Montenegro and back down ending in Rome. I think about 10-12 ports along the way. We spent a couple of days in Athens before getting on the boat and three days in Rome at the end. We went with our son Peter and his wife Sue from Friday Harbor, Washington. An amazing fun trip! We celebrated Wayne’s 90th birthday two weeks after our trip and all the family except Peter came! Hard to believe those numbers but it was a fun time to all be together. Then came Christmas which was rather quiet with only the two in town daughters and their families. Our church, St Katharine Drexel, had our first mass in our forever home on Christmas Day. No more “prayer house in a warehouse!” After 20 years this month we finally have our own church. What an emotional day that was! We still get together with our wonderful neighbors for dinner once a week. Other than doctors and everyday life, thank God, we are well and keeping busy. Our love to you guys and prayers for the surgery! Stay busy they say. It keeps you young they say😳🥰
