This month the authorized Apple Charlestown User Group (CHUG) turns 10 years old. I started it in March 2013 because I am an Apple Fan and missed. the user group experience. I have been leading or organizing topics from September to May for 10 years. The group has a website, Google groups as a mailing list, flyers on the bulletin boards and TV channel, and announcements in the monthly newsletter. We do take December, June, July, and August off. It’s been a labor of love all these years.
Hope Tillman joined me last year as the co-leader. She specializes in helping beginners in a classroom setting. She comes with a Windows background as well as Apple so she offers help in for users with PC and Android users. The new logo reflects that change. The Apple programs moved to Zoom during the pandemic and remain on Zoom. We both participate in the Apple World User Group University (AWUGU) monthly programs via Zoom. This group is for Apple User Group leaders from around the world. There is always something to talk about with operating system updates and new devices.
