Slow Summer – NOT at Charlestown

How hard can it be to write a blog post every month? It’s hard. The days fly by with things to do and events to attend. You would think that summer in a life plan community would be laid back and easy going. Not so much. There are so many activities going on that I constantly have to make choices. Here are some of the events I attended this month.

  • General Services Town Hall Meeting
  • Resident Experience Group (Group of residents dialoguing with management)
  • Benevolent Care Fund Reception for monthly donors
  • Photography Talk
  • Immigration – two sessions with speakers
  • Town Hall Meeting
  • Club Leaders Meeting
  • Training Sessions twice a week
  • Day trip to Dutch’s Daughter’s Restaurant in Frederick
  • Ribbon Cutting for the Cross Creek Lobby Renovation

I won’t bore you with my To Do list for NaCCRA except to say, the eight-page newsletter went to the printers and the August checks in the lockbox were transcribed by me.

For fun, Dan and I ate two good movies this month, Crazy Rich Asians and Christopher Robin.
